Scapa Trip 2008

Friday 20th June to Saturday 28th June

 

Friday 20th June 8.00am

  • Meet at Mick Mc Allister’s to load van and Pete’s pick up.
  • John Cruickshank and Paul Elsom to take their cars. Set off no later than 9.00am.
  • 10.30am. Make first stop for breakfast at Westmorland Service station between junction 38 & 39 on M6
  • Journey time to Royal Hotel Traill Street Thurso KW14 8EH  is approximately 10 ½ to 11 hours including 1 hour stop for meals etc.
  • Arrive at Royal Hotel around 9.00pm.  6 twin rooms bed and breakfast, have been booked.

 

Saturday 21st June

  • After breakfast travel to Scrabster port.  Ferry leave’s at 1.15pm.
  • 2 vehicles and 10 foot passengers to board ferry arrive in Stromness at 2.45pm.
  • Load dive gear onto Invincible.,
  • Included in price is 7 nights onboard accommodation, 6 days diving with 2 dives per day, free air to 300 Bar, lead weights and the use of 12L cylinders, tea and coffee. They also offer a brunch style brekky at £6 each per day.

 

Sunday 22nd to Friday 27th

  • Dive sites to be discussed with dive party and skipper.
  • Nitrox fills are not included in package.  Nitrox fills start at £4 and increase at a rate of 1p per ltr of oxygen added.

Saturday 28th

  • Pack up all gear and make way to ferry for 11.00am crossing, arrive in Scrabster at 12.30pm and make way home.

What’s included

  • Royal Hotel accommodation bed & breakfast.
  • Ferry crossings for 2 vehicles and 10 foot passengers return.
  • Invincible accommodation and diving.
  • Fuel costs for 4 vehicles.  The fuel has been estimated as fuel prices and miles per gallon plays a vital role in trying to estimate costs, we will at the end of the trip put all fuel costs together and work out if any additions or refunds need to be made.

·         If you wish to make monthly payments please make cheques out to Nomad divers and hand to Paul or Mike.

·         In order to pre-pay for Hotel and Ferry bookings please have full amount paid before 20th May.
